Help Pants

After a few days of high fever, Tessie is now back to her old, chipper self again. We kept waiting with anticipation for evidence of the Roseola Rash, but all I could find was a light pink patch on her lower back (which I suspect came from hours and hours of sitting in our bed watching "Monsters Inc." over and over again). So, do we get to check Roseola off our list of childhood diseases? Not so sure.

Tess was funny when I decided to try these overalls on her today. They're still a little big on her, but when she saw them, she definitely wanted to wear them. (What is it with overalls, Laura?!)

Tess in her "help pants."

After wearing them a while, Tess started patting her chest and saying, "uh-holp, uh-holp," which in Tess-speak translates roughly to: "help, help." I nodded and said, "Yes, Tess helps," but clearly I wasn't getting the message.

"Uh-holp, uh-holp. Kitchen, kitchen," she repeated while vigorously patting her overalls. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why she was calling her pants "help, help."

"Uh-holp, uh-holp! Kitchen! Pizza!"

And then it finally dawned on me that Tess had helped me make pizza last night in the kitchen, while I was wearing my APRON!

Overalls=apron pants. Obviously.

Now you understand me!

This is Tess' newest friend, Charlie. He looks a lot like the imaginary friend I had when I was Tess' age. His name was also Charlie.

Charlie

Charlie is good at walking, running, kicking and jumping. He is also really good at looking at things. "Look, Chawee, look!" and Tess will point my fingers towards whatever she wants Charlie to see.

She'll show him falling snow, a bird in the sky, or the painting she just finished. Sometimes she just wants him to watch her jump, dance or take her baby for a walk.

Charlie is a patient and observant friend.

Charlie sure does bring back memories! I'm glad to see he's still alive and kickin'! Don't forget he likes to go skating on baby's head then accidentally fall off and ski down baby's nose. BTW, I would put those overalls on Tess everyday and let her be in charge of the cooking! Love, Dipsy

Charlie's got some BLING! Nice ring, Charlie.

Tess is adorable in her help pants! Kind of like the Iris suit, only more stylish.
