One Day at a Time

Well, you can tell how well things are going with baby by the frequency of my blog posts. It's been a bit of a rough week. After many long hours of crying, some pretty foul diapers and several trips to the pediatrician we think we've figured out that baby Tess has been suffering from a stomach virus.
At least, we hope that's the problem. It sounds terrible to say that you hope your baby has a virus, but if that is the culprit, at least there is an end in sight. She does seem to be doing better over the past 24 hours. As you can tell from the pictures, she certainly hasn't suffered any weight loss! Last weigh in: 9 lbs. 7 oz. And this was the baby that left the hospital at only 6 lbs!
We've been camping out at the Higginbothams' this week--as we like to say, everything is better at Nana and Papa's house. Hopefully, she'll turn the corner soon and she'll be back to her sparkly self.

Thank you so much for the pictures. She still looks so frail and tiny despite her incredible weight gain. Is she really doing a little better today? Give her kisses for me. Love, Dipsy

Isn't she just so beautiful? You'd never guess what was brewing down below ;) I hope the little snuggle bug gets feeling better!

Initially I thought you were saying that the week of crying was done by you. Glad to hear it was the squeakette instead . . . wee ones like to cry. While us elders cry to indicate feelings of helplessness, the tikes cry to assert feelings of power. Or maybe they're just making a present. Hang in there.
