Dipsy Pics

Tess with Flat Brooke.  (Brooke mailed a "flattened" version of herself so she could have an adventure in VA.)  We took this pic before Dipsy arrived.

Tess is an insistent and persistent helper.  No project goes undone without some help from Tess.  Tess and Dipsy used scraps from our drapery project to create a "foot quilt" for Tess.  (Apparently a foot quilt is necessary since I don't always tuck her feet in at night).  Why it may sound like an unusual project, it was actually a compromise from what she wanted to make with her cut samples from the fabric store:  "a hat--you know for a chilly winter day."

Completed foot quilt.

We had big plans to whisk the kids off on more fabric store shopping adventures, but they made it clear in the car that they'd had enough!  So instead, we picked up a picnic and headed to Leesylvania State Park for a day at the "beach."

We are certainly missing our Dipsy here.  Even Drew.

"Can you say 'Nana?'"
Eh uh.
"Can you say 'Papa?'"
Eh uh.
"Can you say 'Mommy?'"
 Eh uh.
"Can you say 'Daddy?'"
Eh uh.
"Can you say 'Eh uh?'"
Silence.
