The Swing of Things

Well, I've been back home for a week now, but it still doesn't feel like things are back to normal yet.

A crash course in fish identification.
One of our boys caught a catfish and another caught an eel (gross!).

Last week was super-crazy because of Cub Scout Camp. We have 11 boys who attended this year, and it's quite the ordeal to get everything organized and ready to go. I think the boys had fun, but they were absolutely exhausted by the end of the week. I think we're all pretty glad it's over!

The harrowing rope bridge. I could hear one of our boys whispering under his breath, "Scary, scary, scary!" the whole way across the bridge. At one point he actually slipped off. I thought, great, this is going to be one of those traumatizing boy scout moments that will haunt him the rest of his life. When he got done, he asked me, "Do we get to do that again?"

After doing some pretty knuckle-headed, absent-minded things last week, it finally dawned on me that I was probably still sleep deprived from my Idaho trip. Let's just say that we played a lot and slept very little for those 2 weeks! Ry let me catch up on a lot of sleep this weekend.

Tess was bit subdued for her Sunday morning photo shoot today. Yes, that's a huge gash to the left of her eye. I swear, I cut her nails every other day and it just doesn't do much good. No matter how short they are, they're still sharp! She's like a baby Edward Scissors Hands!

I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine this next week. I've REALLY got to get back to eating better and exercising. With so little sleep in Idaho, there was more time to EAT, and boy am I paying the price for it!

Tessie showing me how I should be doing my leg lifts!

They canceled my baby & mom exercise class over the summer and I really miss it. No excuses, though. Next week I'm getting back in the swing of things!

Oh, I am looking forward to scouting. . . let me tell you ;o)
I love Tessie's headband and cute outfit. I've been trying to get back into the swing of things since Nov 10, 2007!! (hee hee)

P.S. I LOVE the high chair you suggested. The colors are perfect.

Tessie sure looks yummy today. Let me ask: did her headband stay on the whole of church? Did the headband make it to church? Good luck on getting back into the swing of things! Love, Dipsy

Yes, the headband made it to church and it actually made it through much of church.

However, there were a few times we looked down at her and realized it had slid down over her eyes, making her appear like a small, masked superhero.

"Butterfly Baby--to the rescue!" She puts up with a lot.

You are so great with the scouts. Looks like it was fun and I can only imagine how exhausting it must have been. I see on your 'Googling" list that you have Primary Program ideas. Does that mean the August release may not happen? :)
