12205 Knightsbridge

Here are some extra pics I took during our home tour.  Ry came to see it and he really likes it too.  You have to look past the bad 80's decorating to the relatively neutral palette left behind.  We like that it is a spacious house in a really nice neighborhood.  It's offered at $409,000 and assessed this year for $434,000 (market is usually 20-40,000 above that).  Homes in the neighborhood are listed in the 500's.

Here's the rundown:

Pros:  reg sale, 2700 sq ft without basement; 1300 unfinished basement with rough in bath; roof 2000, hvac 2011, 1/3 acre treed lot; upperscale neighborhood; good builder (fairfield),  gas heat, copper pipe, big rooms, big kitchen, big pantry, big bedrooms, big master w/sitting room, big baths, 3 closets in master, kids bath two sinks closed off, newer appliances, nice fireplace in family room; like the layout; closed off study by front door; entire back of house is windows; pretty views; realtor says well maintained; shop in basement; double deck realtor says needs some "tightening up," but in ok condition; 2011 assess $458, 2012 $434

Westridge, Woodbridge, Woodbridge

Negs:  totally original, THE MURAL!!!, florescent light in kitchen, old windows, carpet OK, baths in good condition but original, no finished basement, front porch needs leveling, realtor noted radon monitor not working (ask to be fixed and tested)

Front yard

 Side yard

 Backyard 1/3 acre

 Garage (20x20)

Study that closes off by the entryway

Huge master bath (ignore the old man chair)

 3 closets in master

Separate workshop in basement.

The more I see, the more I like. Ask them to throw in the piano and the tools. I really like the cute little boy with the mischief in his eyes!

I commented to her about the beautiful piano and she said her Alzheimer-suffering husband plays beautifully and still loves to play every day. Kind of sad.
